Get away from it all in this brand new, centrally located escape! Located in a private setting surrounded by quiet forest, you will feel isolated from the world, yet only a half mile away from Rt. 209. In 10 minutes you can be hiking around Lake Minnewaska or strolling through the quaint town of Stone Ridge. Fine Dining in New Paltz and shopping in Kingston are only 25 minutes away. All that or relax at the house and enjoy the chef's kitchen, vaulted ceilings, hot tub and firepit.

Good to know

Located on a woodland perch, our home offers a beautiful vantage point of the surrounding forest and clover lawn. Most rooms have access to the wrap around deck through walls of 9' tall sliding glass doors. The living, dining, kitchen open floor plan are capped with 18' vaulted ceilings giving the home a spacious feel. Four lounge chairs and a hot tub await on the deck. Stroll down the lawn to a fire pit with seating for all.

Other Details to Note

The nightly price includes up to 4 guests. we can accommodate up to 6 guests for an additional fee. Additional towels and bedding are provided for a very comfortable full sized sofa bed. The fire pit seating and deck lounge chairs may not be available during all the winter months depending on weather. We have soft, alkaline well water. It is perfectly safe for washing and bathing but we provide plenty of bottled drinking water. We do have a Level 2 EV charger available upon advance request. Please note that it is not always available, but we will confirm availability upon request. We do have both 120v and 220v exterior outlets available even in the case it is not available.

We had a wonderful week stay in this beautiful oasis. We explored many towns in the Catskills and Hudson thru that time and the location was really well placed. We saw wildlife from the bed (momma deer and two fawn) and tons more on the road. The place was well appointed and comfortable after long days of exploring, hiking, shopping and eating our way thru the area. Being fully enclosed in the woods was private though you are not too far off a country hwy which is nice for access and security (no noise can be heard). Highly recommend and tons of places and kind people to meet in and around the area as well. Have fun!

We booked Dans home at the last minute due to a mishap with another home. He was not only quick and responsive but super friendly and comforting in a stressful moment. He was there when we arrived making sure all was well. The home is gorgeous, peaceful, immaculate and we were able to work and cook there for most of our stay. He checked in on us through messages and responded immediately when we had questions. It was wonderfully better than expected. We were extremely grateful and would stay again. We had a really lovely stay at Dan’s house! It’s located down a very private road, so it’s very quiet. It’s surrounded by beautiful nature. The house itself is modern, minimalist and very clean. Dan was a fantastic communicator, very accommodating and replied super quickly. We were so comfortable there and will definitely come back again.

Located on a very private road and surrounded by green, Dan's place was perfect for a last minute escape from the city and disconnect. Everything was clean and comfortable. Will have to return in the cooler months to take advantage of the hot tub and fire pit (tho both were ready for us to use!). Dan was also very communicative and checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable :)

Well-equipped and comfortable house in a peaceful setting. We got in late at night and had no issues with entry. Plenty of space for two adults and a toddler. Very clean and well organized, would recommend to others!

It is a great place to stay for several days. “Soft” water is not the best for taking showers or washing. It may be a little inconvenient for some, who are not used to it. Bedrooms don’t have a light blocking curtains. It helps to get up earlier. However, some people may not like it. It took me a few nights to get used to it. Besides a few small inconveniences, it was a very good stay.

Had an amazing stay at Dan's house in Kerhonkson. The house was clean and really easy to settle in and feel comfortable in. The house has modern amenities which were easy to use with everything detailed out clearly in the guest handbook . Loved having the hot tub to use and also enjoyed some of the board games in the house. The large windows in the house are beautiful and you look out into the beautiful serenity of the woods. The location is great as it is a quick drive to many great trails and food. Definitely looking forward to returning again!
